Recap: The Raptors hung close with seven-time defending West Coast League champion Corvallis at Goss Stadium, leading 5-4 going into the bottom of the seventh when the Knights scored three times on a single, a balk and a wild pitch to go ahead 7-5. The Raptors out-hit the Knights 13-7 but left 15 runners on base in their third loss in a row.
Raptors bats: Hunter Katschke (Utah Tech) pushed his batting average to .350 over 11 games by going 4 for 5 with two doubles and a run scored. … Brody Mills (Washington) was 2 for 4 with a leadoff home run in the second inning, his first of the summer. … Taylor Takata (Hawai’i) and Justin Stranskey (Fresno State) each had two hits.
Raptors arms: Starter Dylan Stewart (Pepperdine) gave up one earned run in his five innings with five strikeouts and a walk. … Dylan Richardson (Edmonds CC) took the loss as he gave up three runs on one hit with two walks and a strikeout in his one inning of relief. … Carson Kruckman (Lower Columbia) pitched the last two innings with one run on one hit and four strikeouts.
