Boys Basketball Roundup: Balanced Ridgefield beats Hockinson

Jamison McCann scored 15 points to lead a balanced Ridgefield offense in a 64-47 win over Hockinson on Monday.

Colten Castro, Colton Warren and Jack Hughes each scored 13 points for Ridgefield, which improved to 10-3 in the 2A Greater St. Helens League.

The Spudders remain one-half game behind second-place Columbia River heading into Tuesday’s pivotal clash between the teams.

Ridgefield outscored Hockinson 22-11 in the second quarter to lead 36-21.

The Spudders’ defense was also strong allowing no Hockinson player to score more than 10 points. The Hawks (10-8, 8-6) made two 3-pointers to Ridgefield’s eight.

WOODLAND 67, FORT VANCOUVER 45 — Sam Jeschke scored a game-high 22 points and Lucas Logan had a double double with 15 points and 13 rebounds as the Beavers beat visiting Fort Vancouver in 1A Trico League action.

Woodland (5-14, 3-11) held Fort (4-14, 2-11) to 23 points in the first three quarters.

Eli Anderson had a solid all-around game for the Beavers with 13 points, six rebounds and three steals.

Jayden Parquet and Isaiah Barajas each scored 12 points and Isaiah Gonzalez 10 for Fort.
