Letter: Thanks to city crews

By Mark Monroe, Vancouver
Published: January 25, 2024, 6:00am

I would like to thank the city of Vancouver’s Operations Department. There was a water main break around 1 a.m. on Saturday morning. The breach managed to consume an SUV, which complicated the whole matter. Car sunk into the road, but thankfully no one hurt.

As I sit here drinking my Saturday morning coffee, I want to toast the city crew (Nick and the rest of the men) who fixed this mess. The water was back on in less than seven hours. The residents of Carter Park thank you.
