Here are the nominees for the The Columbian 2023-24 Week 15 high school athlete of the week, sponsored by Killer Burger.
Voting will continue until 7 p.m. Wednesday.
To avoid vote manipulation, voting is restricted by IP address, one vote per IP address. That means people voting while connected to a public WIFI access may be unable to vote. We suggest voting be done by private internet access or through your cellular provider.
Winners of the athlete-of-the-week may not be nominated again during the regular season, and no athlete may be nominated in consecutive weeks.
Nominees are posted and voting begins each Monday and runs through Wednesday.
ASHTON BAKER, KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN BOYS WRESTLING: Baker posted three victories to win the 150-pound division at the Battle of the Bridge Invitational at Hockinson.
VLADYSLAV DANYLYUK, PRAIRIE BOYS SWIMMING: Danylyuk won the 100 freestyle (50.17 seconds) and the 100 backstroke (55.64) at the Kelso Invitational.
CHRISTINE GEORGE, EVERGREEN GIRLS WRESTLING: George won three matches, all by fall, to win the 135-pound division at the Battle of the Bridge Invitational at Hockinson.
BRAYDON OLSON, MARK MORRIS BOYS BASKETBALL: The senior guard scored 21 points in a win over Woodland and 32 in a win over Ridgefield for the first-place Monarchs.
ALANA STEPHENS, HUDSON’S BAY GIRLS BASKETBALL: Stephens scored 39 points as the Eagles routed Hockinson in a 2A Greater St. Helens League game.
