VANCOUVER — The Music Teachers Association of Clark County has been awarded the 2023 Chapter of the Year by the Washington State Music Teachers Association. The Music Teachers Association of Clark County has 40 private music teachers teaching piano, strings, woodwind instruments and voice.
The yearly award recognizes the chapter that has made the most significant contributions to the music teaching profession through participation in local, state and national programs. The Clark County chapter earned the award by expanding the learning and performance opportunities for students studying with chapter members, including the Washington State Music Teachers Association Music Artistry Program, Music Teachers Association of Clark County festivals for pop, jazz, classical and musical theatre genres, and collaborations with community organizations such as the Vancouver Symphony and Clark College.
