Corrections officers found Rodger Williams, 47, of Portland unresponsive during a routine security check at about 6:45 p.m., a county news release states.
Jail staff began CPR but responding medical personnel pronounced Williams dead, according to the county.
Detectives from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office are investigating, and Williams’ relatives were notified, the county said.
