Harry Eugenis won the 200-yard freestyle and Kelso won two relays, helping the Hilanders to the team title at the Kelso Invitational boys swim meet on Saturday.
Eugenis won the 200 free in 2 minutes, 0.46 seconds to beat out Prairie’s Michael Oshkader. Kelso also won the 200 free relay and 400 free relay, leading the Hilanders to 466 points. Aberdeen was in second with 252 points.
For many swimmers on Saturday, it was the first chance to get in the pool in more than a week. The meet was originally scheduled for last Saturday before being postponed because of weather.
“There are a lot of kids missing today,” Union coach Jay Jones said. “There was a conflict with a club event today. And then there are others who still couldn’t get out because of the weather. But it was good to get the kids back in the pool.”
