Kaiden Wilson scored 18 of his game-high 23 points in the first half, but it was the defense that led Seton Catholic to a 56-49 win over King’s Way Christian in a Trico League boys basketball game Saturday at King’s Way.

Despite the big half by Wilson, the game was tied 27-27 at halftime. Seton pushed ahead 43-39 after three quarters.

Wilson was held scoreless in the fourth quarter, but the Seton defense held off the Knights from rallying.

Brady Angelo added 11 for Seton Catholic (8-5), which improved to 4-0 in the Trico League.

Jaydon Hall scored 18 points, Ryan Tyler had 12 and Cade Erwin added 10 for King’s Way (5-9, 1-3).

HOCKINSON 87, HUDSON’S BAY 58 — Ryker Kitchen led four Hockinson players in double figures with 27 points as the Hawks won a 2A GSHL game at home.

Kitchen led the way with 27 points. Tanner Williams scored 13 points, while Payton Poppe and Andrew Meier added 12 each.
