Licensed professional engineer Steve Worley is taking over as Vancouver’s new public works director this month.

Worley comes to Vancouver from Pasco, where he led the public works department since 2018.

“We welcome Steve’s leadership to Public Works at the start of the new year. He brings an innovative approach to project and program management and a collaborative style to lead our talented Public Works team,” Vancouver City Manager Eric Holmes said in a press release.

The city of Vancouver’s Public Works Department has approximately 370 full-time employees and includes streets, water, sewer, stormwater, solid waste and urban forestry among its responsibilities.
