Letter: Support Battle Ground levy

By Michelle Jenson, Vancouver

I support Battle Ground Public Schools’ capital levy. This levy will pay for important repairs and updates at the same rate as the bond measure that expired at the end of 2023. Given the age of Battle Ground schools and the need to repair roofs and HVAC systems, as well as the opportunity to improve security, this levy is a reasonable request. Though some schools will eventually need to be replaced, the work would help taxpayer dollars go as far as possible.

Today’s students are tomorrow’s employees who will give back to the local economy. Our children need your yes vote.
