Letter: Cheney speaks the truth

By Norm Luther, Spokane

I can’t remember when I agreed with her policy-wise. And I definitely disagreed with her father and opposed his controversial actions. But Liz Cheney, with her new book, “Oath and Honor,” is certainly again my No. 1 hero. She shows once more she is the rare prominent Republican who really cares about saving our democracy.

And I totally agree with her that if Donald Trump wins the presidency in 2024, that may be our last election, or at least our last election not rigged by Dictator Donald and his MAGA pals — that is, the end of our democracy.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
