Trash. No, I’m not talking about Trump or Biden or any other politician, but actual trash. Today, I spent about an hour and $23.45 picking up trash.
I just don’t understand it. The first place was just off 18th Avenue in Hazel Dell, just across the street from two fairly well-kept homes where homeless have spread their trash around. Do they pick it up? No! I walk my dog by there daily and finally got fed up with it. I grabbed a garbage can, rake and broom and picked the mess up.
From there, I went to a vacant store where, again, homeless have left trash, spoiled food, etc., in front of the building. This is on Highway 99, just a bit south of Fred Meyer.
I know some of the homeless don’t care what kind of a mess they leave, but what about those who live or work nearby? Why does it take an 82-year-old man to clean this up?
