The business leaders group Identity Clark County has elected Mark Mantei to serve as chair for 2024, succeeding Steve Kenny, who served in the role for three years.

Mantei is CEO of Vancouver Clinic, the largest physician-owned, multispecialty medical practice on the West Coast, with 491 clinicians and 1,790 staff caring for patients in 18 locations in Washington and Oregon. He serves on the boards of the Association of Washington Business, America’s Physicians Groups, American Medical Group Association, and leads fundraising efforts for the American Heart Association. He has a master’s in health care administration and a business degree from the University of Michigan.

Also serving in leadership roles: Esther Liu, LSW Architects, vice chair; Tyson Fuehrer, Alliant Insurance Services, secretary; Josie Hyde, WFG National Title Insurance Company, treasurer; and Matt Bisturis, Schwabe, at large.

Cano Real Estate recently announced the appointment of Mark Hall as the director of sales. Hall brings four decades of experience, including roles in sales management and real estate team leadership.

New and returning Washougal School District school board members were sworn in to service at the Dec. 12 board meeting. Superintendent Mary Templeton administered the oaths of office.

Ida Royer was elected as the newest member to the Washougal School District board to represent District 4. Royer is a parent of a current Washougal student.

Board members Jim Cooper (District 1) and Angela Hancock (District 2) were reelected to their seats in November. Both will serve four-year terms that expire in 2027.

During the same meeting, board members voted to elect their officers for the year. Hancock was elected as the board president. Cooper was elected as the board vice president. Chuck Carpenter will continue to serve as the legislative representative, which is a two-year position.
