HOCKINSON – 11-year-old Jenna Hanson is living out her horse riding dreams. She lives in the hills of Hockinson with her family and her horse, High Rolling Frenchmen, who everyone knows as “Roller.” In between cleaning stalls and attending fifth grade at Kings Way Elementary, Hanson has been riding at every rodeo and barrel race she can find. In the last year she won championships for her age group in Glenwood, Long Beach, and the local Battle Ground Saddle Club, where you can also find her most every week practicing. At the final qualifying race of the season in Moses Lake, Hanson qualified for the Junior National Finals Rodeo, by winning the Youth Pole Bending championship. In December, she traveled to Las Vegas to compete in her first Junior National Finals Rodeo against another 135 riders from across the nation.
