Girls roundup: Adrian Wright, Kimora Ross lead Evergreen past Prairie, 66-58

Plainsmen shoot 18 for 21 from the foul line

Adrian Wright scored 21 points and Kimora Ross added 18 points as Evergreen beat Prairie 66-58 for a 3A Greater St. Helens League home win.

Evergreen led 40-24 at halftime after outscoring Prairie 21-11 in the second quarter.

The Falcons chipped away, cutting the deficit to four points in the fourth quarter.

Evergreen made 18 of 21 free throws, including five in the fourth quarter to protect its lead with Prairie began to foul late in the game.

Emma Smith scored 18 points and Claire Smith added 17 points for Prairie.

SKYVIEW 87, BATTLE GROUND 11 — The Storm shot out of the gate with a 32-point first quarter and rolled to a 4A GSHL home win.

Skyview made five 3-pointers in the first quarter.

Sam Groesbeck, who subbed into the game after two minutes due to an injury to Jaeley Dean, scored eight of her 14 points in the first quarter.

Kiera Parks led all scorers with 19 points. Elan Estes added 16 points while Lainey Phillips had 10 points and nine rebounds.

KELSO 53, HERITAGE 26 — Bregan Ruhland scored 21 points as the Lassies pulled away in the second half for a 3A GSHL road win.

Kenzie Milligan added 12 points and 11 rebounds for Kelso, which outscored Heritage 29-11 in the second half.

Jaila Ellis led the Timberwolves with 13 points.

RAINIER 51, MOUNTAIN VIEW 29 — The state’s top-ranked Class 2B team improved to 10-0 with a non-league road win against the Class 3A the Thunder.

Mountain View was outscored 16-4 in the second quarter and trailed 26-13 at halftime.

Jadlyn Senderson scored eight points to lead the Thunder (10-2).

STEVENSON 58, LA CENTER 41 — Sophia Spencer scored 18 points to lead the Bulldogs to a 1A Trico League home win.

Smith was 10 of 12 from the free-throw line including 6 for 6 in the third quarter, in which Stevenson made 11 of 12 from the line. That saw Stevenson stretch its lead to 41-32 after the game was tied 22-22 at halftime.

Aria Obias and Becca Townsend each added 13 points for Stevenson.

McKenzie Schockelt led La Center with 16 points.

SETON CATHOLIC 69, COLUMBIA-WHITE SALMON 19 — Remy Jenniges scored 15 points, Madison Lee added 14 points and the Cougars opened 1A Trico League play with a rout on the road.

Lee made two 3-pointers and scored 10 points in the first half, which ended with Seton Catholic ahead 30-5.

KING’S WAY CHRISTIAN 36, CASTLE ROCK 26 — Hannah Erwin scored 13 points as the Knights won their Trico League opener at Castle Rock.

King’s Way (7-3, 1-0) pulled away thanks to an 11-3 second quarter.

Addison Bagley had 13 rebounds to go with eight points, while Bridget Quinn had seven points, eight rebounds and five assists.
