Letter: Wise words resonate

By Gail Burgess, Camas

I am gratified by the wisdom of recent letter submissions by Michael Cortney (“Middle East peace is not easy,” Our Readers’ Views, Feb. 17) and the persistent offerings by J.N. White (“Does anybody really want Trump?,” Our Readers’ Views, Feb. 17). Their civility and reasonableness exemplifies what we need in our nation in order to move forward, caring for all our citizens and working with other nations in empowering health care and democracy. As my MAGA brother said, “I’m done with hatred. We need to find something better here.” God bless his wisdom.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
