As someone who has watched five school bonds fail and worked to increase voter turnout for some of them, I am feeling optimistic about the April 23 ballot propositions for Ridgefield schools. I am seeing the community bond together to solve the problem of school overcrowding, and it is inspiring.
As a mother of children in the Ridgefield schools and a pediatrician, I am concerned about the effects of crowding on students’ learning and well-being. Studies show that overcrowded educational spaces relate to poorer outcomes. We cannot delay any longer. Please join me in voting yes for Ridgefield schools.
