Letter: Maintain climate act

By Lehman Holder, VANCOUVER

Do you have children or grandchildren? Do you want them to live in a habitable world?
If your answer is yes, vote “no” on Initiative 2117 on Nov. 5. This initiative is an attempt to repeal Washington’s Climate Commitment Act. The truth is that this act provides funding for clean energy now and will enable your children and grandchildren to live better lives. Clean energy and clean air are important to all of us.
Burning carbon-based fuels has consequences. Support a livable planet. Vote “no” on this misguided repeal effort.
