Letter: Cascadia Tech shows path to future

I’m heartened by the article “U.S. Rep. Perez, U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg visit Cascadia Tech Academy” (The Columbian, Feb. 12), demonstrating a positive future for our youth. With the soaring cost of higher education today, trade schools are the key to training the workforce of tomorrow, providing high-paying jobs so the next generation can afford homes, raise families with dignity and grow our democratic way of life.

I’m very proud of Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp Perez for supporting legislation highlighting the importance of valued trade education, and voting yes on the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill. This truly is the way to elevate America.

Please vote for democracy this fall. Vote for Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez in Washington’s 3rd Congressional District.
