One person was killed Friday morning when they drove off the road and crashed into a tree east of Battle Ground.
A witness called 911 at 6:55 a.m. to report the crash in the 19400 block of Northeast Risto Road, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
The person killed was the only individual in the car, the sheriff’s office said. Their family members have been notified, and the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the person’s identity and cause and manner of death. No further information was available Friday.
The crash is still under investigation.
