Letter: Kent repeats Trump lies

I heard congressional candidate Joe Kent on a popular radio show talking about how Trump tried to get troops out of Syria. That confirmed my suspicion about Kent: He is either not telling the truth about Trump’s foreign policy or he doesn’t understand Trump’s foreign policy.

MAGA wants to push this ludicrous idea that Trump was a “peace” president. It’s not true. Trump increased troop rotations from Germany to Poland. I can’t imagine the Russian Federation thinking this was a peaceful gesture. A peacetime president doesn’t send shoulder-fired rockets and “advisers” to assist Ukrainian military in killing Russian troops, like Trump did.

Kent’s MAGA goggles are strapped on tight as his talking points are 90 percent malarkey. In October 2020, Trump tweeted that he wanted troops from Afghanistan home by Christmas 2020. What does Kent think would have happened if Trump followed-through with his 2020 Christmas exit from Afghanistan plan?

Third District voters are not going to support someone who supports MAGA fiction; this has already been proven. Kent has already lost once. Voters here like real world facts and not fiction pushed by Trump.
