As part of the county’s comprehensive plan update, a joint meeting between a community advisory group and the Environmental Justice Coalition will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The meeting will take place virtually via the Zoom platform. Login information is available on the project page at https://clark.wa.gov/community-planning/climate-change-planning.

The two groups will advise the county on the required climate change element that must be added to the comprehensive plan by June 2025. Legislation passed in 2023 mandates that greenhouse gas reduction and resilience be added to the county plan.

The meeting is open to the public. A recording of the meeting will also be available for viewing afterward.

After this initial meeting, a regular monthly meeting schedule will be established with each group.
