Girls basketball roundup: Camas advances to 4A bi-district title game

Addison Harris had a double-double of 10 points and 18 rebounds plus four blocked shots as the Camas girls basketball team beat Sumner 49-41 in the 4A bi-district semifinal on Wednesday at Sumner.

Regan Jamison and Riley Sanz added 13 points each for the Papermakers (17-6), who advance to face Bellarmine (17-7) in the championship game on Saturday at Tacoma Community College.

Camas held Sumner (23-2) to 18 points in the first half, building a 32-18 advantage.

Sumner did recover some in the third quarter with a 10-4 run.

Jamison also had five rebounds and three assists, and Keirra Thompson had five assists.

3A bi-district

NORTH THURSTON 70, EVERGREEN 43 — The Plainsmen lost in the semifinal to the undefeated Rams of North Thurston (23-0) in the game played at Mt. Tahoma High School.

Evergreen will take a 12-11 record into the 3A regional round of state since the third-place bi-district game won’t be played as it was optional.

2A district

MARK MORRIS 48, BLACK HILLS 37 — The Monarchs clinched a state berth with the victory at W.F. West High School.

Mark Morris (14-9) survived to reach state after losing its first-round game of the district tournament and then having to play two loser-out games.
