The King’s Way Christian girls basketball team got a double-double out of Addison Bagley, but couldn’t get the win.
Elma, the No. 5 seed in the 1A district playoffs, beat King’s Way 31-25 on Thursday in Vancouver.
King’s Way, the No. 4 seed, now faces an elimination game against La Center on Saturday.
Bagley had 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Knights (10-9) and was the only player in the game with double figures.
King’s Way led 9-5 after the first quarter but then Elma outscored the Knights 23-14 in the second and third quarters.
Elma advances to play at top seed Montesano in a winner-to-state game on Saturday.
MONTESANO 52, LA CENTER 34 — Top seed Montesano broke away from a 12-12 tie after the first quarter to beat visiting La Center in the first round of the 1A district playoffs.
The Bulldogs, led by Jillie Dalan’s 22 points, held La Center (10-12) to 10 points over the second and third quarters to pull away.
McKenzie Schockelt had 11 points for the Wildcats and Talia Wise had 10.
La Center plays a loser-out game Saturday at King’s Way Christian.
EATONVILLE 62, CASTLE ROCK 34 — No. 3 seed Eatonville advanced to face Seton Catholic in the winner-to-state game on Saturday.
Castle Rock (8-13) hosts Hoquiam in a loser out game on Saturday.
