Letter: Reject ballot initiatives

By Don Steinke, Vancouver

Vote “no” in November. Washington faces a direct threat from four deceptive and dangerous ballot initiatives. These initiatives aim to undo a decade’s worth of progress on efforts to clean our air, on early childhood education, on elder care, and on more efficient housing.

Initiatives 2117 and 2066 guarantee more pollution from tailpipes and gas boilers. Initiative 2117 also cuts funding for part of the new Interstate 5 Bridge project.

Let’s defend Washington. Vote “no” in November on all four initiatives.
