Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon will host its annual Sole Support for Parkinson’s Walk at Clark College for the first time.

The walk will begin at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at the main campus, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way. The event raises awareness about the neurodegenerative disease with no cure.

This is the 20th year of fundraising and awareness for the local Parkinson’s disease community. Funds raised will remain local through the donor-supported, nonprofit Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon exercise, education and wellness program, according to its news release.

Free on-site registration and check-in is at noon, and fundraising is encouraged. Participants will walk around the campus neighborhood. Routes for the 1k and 5k are walker- and wheelchair-friendly.

For more information, go to solesupport.org or call 800-426-6806.
