Letter: Vote to support women’s worth

By Janet Borst, VANCOUVER

Dear girl dads and granddads, when you cast your vote this November would you please think about your daughters and granddaughters? What message are you sending to your girls about their worth if you vote for a self-avowed and convicted abuser of females?

What future do you see for your girls if the Heritage Foundation’s plans for a Republican administration are in effect? Are you willing to see your girls required to give birth because birth control is illegal? Are you willing to see them required to carry a baby that will die at or shortly before birth at the risk of her health and future fertility?

Can you look at her beautiful face and say that she is less than? That if she doesn’t or can’t have children that she has no worth?

Are you willing to deny her the chance to blossom into a whole human being whose talent and work can be a positive for the world?

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
