Megan Thee Stallion plans on being the host with the most at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

The Grammy-winning hip-hop star was announced last week as MC of the 2024 ceremony, scheduled to air live from Long Island’s UBS Arena on Sept. 10 at 8 p.m.

Already a two-time VMA winner, Megan Thee Stallion also garnered five nominations for 2024, including Best Hip Hop Video, the same category she won in 2020 for her Beyoncé-powered chart-topper “Savage.”

As a first-time nominee in 2019, the Houston-born hottie took home the prize in the Best Power Anthem category for her smash “Hot Girl Summer.”

She’s currently riding a wave of popularity after performing at an Atlanta rally for presidential nominee Kamala Harris. She also recently dropped “Mamushi” (featuring Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba), which has become a viral sensation on TikTok.

Taylor Swift tops the list of 2024 MTV VMA nominees with 10 total nods, followed by her “Fortnight” collaborator Post Malone with nine nominations. Eminem, Ariana Grande and newcomer Carpenter scored six apiece.

The lineup of performers for the this year’s ceremony will include Lenny Kravitz, Sabrina Carpenter, GloRilla, Camila Cabello and Halsey.

Katy Perry, who will receive the Video Vanguard Award, is also slated to take the stage.
