Clark County Public Works shut off all water at Vancouver Lake Regional Park last week after coliform was discovered during a routine water sample collected Aug. 20.
The county’s facilities management department performs routine testing of well drinking water at the park every month. After turning off water at the park, the county brought in portable toilets and handwashing stations.
Following Washington State Department of Health guidance, the county’s facilities staff began treating the water system Friday and that continued through the weekend.
After treatment was completed, staff flushed and rinsed the system Monday. A spokeswoman for Clark County said additional water samples are being collected and tested. Water at the park will be turned back on after testing results show the water is safe.
