Piano concert benefits local nonprofit that helps Babies in Need

VANCOUVER – On Aug. 16 pianist Jordan Nylander performed a piano benefit concert for the local nonprofit Babies In Need. Concert-goers donated 1,587 diapers and $1,200 in cash. During the show, they enjoyed a classical program featuring Schumann, Beethoven and original music. Nylander’s concert was played in three parts: “Scenes From Childhood,” (appropriate for the nonprofit of the evening); an original “Meditation” style composition; and Beethoven’s “Pathetique Sonata.”
