Letter: Policies increase gas prices

By Phil Harder, VANCOUVER

Washington now has the third-highest gas prices in the nation. This is thanks to our governor shoving this down our throats and telling us that gas prices would not increase. They assumed the oil companies would absorb the roughly 50 cents a gallon increase when they announced their plan to the people. This was according to the politicians and our governor.

Of course we can now buy electric ferries which has been on the governor’s wish list. Is anyone watching all of this money and giving the people an accounting or do we trust the politicians to spend the billions wisely? Just wondering.
