Letter: Criticism of Harris is weird

By Bill Kelley, YACOLT

Robert Kerr writes “Trump to the rescue” (Our Readers’ Views, Aug. 20). Give the prison keys to the felon? If Trump would ever rescue anybody, nobody would believe it.

Kerr doesn’t like “socialism.” He thinks Kamala Harris is a socialist. Well, welcome to the world. The front page of The Columbian has a perfect example of socialism — Army Corps of Engineers dredging the Columbia River. This benefits who? Schnitzer Steel? I personally don’t need the river dredged. Same as the fire department, police department, FEMA, public schools, etc. — all socialism blended with capitalism.

Kerr’s argument is to throw socialism against Harris, but most of us know that is just weird.
