Letter: Reject bullies in politics

Bullies seem to be everywhere these days. There is daily news of bullies in schools, businesses, public meetings and politics. We would hope that our political leaders would act like adults rather than a third-grader. Yet, one politician has all the attributes of a bully: “a blustering, browbeating person, especially one who is habitually cruel, insulting, or threatening to others who are weaker, smaller, or in some way vulnerable.”

Donald Trump immediately finds a demeaning nickname for his opposition and mocks them. He has also mocked the disabled, the poor, women, jurists, ethnic minorities, religious minorities, members of the military, POWs, Blue Star Families and the press. If you have not been attacked by Trump it is probably because he doesn’t know you exist or care. He has stiffed many small businesses that supplied his businesses and campaigns.

Trump is totally lacking in leadership characteristics, namely having empathy and lifting others up.

Reject the bully in November.
