Missing endangered man found safe, Vancouver police say

Joseph Trost has numerous medical issues and requires medication

UPDATE: Joseph Trost was located Friday safe, police said.


The Vancouver Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a man who was reported missing Friday afternoon.

Joseph P. Trost, 63, was last seen about 8:30 a.m. Thursday by his caregivers near Main Street and Hazel Dell Avenue. He was reported missing at 3 p.m. Friday. Trost has numerous medical issues and requires medication, police said.

Trost is about 6 feet tall and 300 pounds with longer gray hair and a gray, short beard. He’s believed to be wearing a flannel jacket, police said.

The department asks anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 911 or contact the department.
