Letter: Transparency is missing

Why is a billionaire giving a millionaire Supreme Court judge expensive, luxurious, foreign destination vacations while that same judge rules homeless people have no rights? Why are more of us not upset about this?

A company is now a human entity, with rights. While a homeless person is not given even those same rights. Everyone is a natural disaster from becoming homeless. If these rights can be infringed upon then so can anyone’s.

Why have we become so complacent? I was not schooled in passive resistance, but I am a big believer. Unlike the anarchists who are afraid to show their faces or any entity that hides and lurks in corners. One should take pride and responsibility for their actions or they should not do them.

So, with that out there let’s look for something to change. Start by eliminating the concept of NDA (nondisclosure agreements) — nothing hidden, everything in the open. Secondly, make political financing as clean as a baby’s behind. Feels strange mentioning something so innocent as a baby and politics in the same sentence. Open to fiscal and personal scrutiny all PACs. Powers-that-be beware, get going on cleaning up this mess we are in.
