Letter: Give Trump speedy sentencing

By Peter Brown, Vancouver

I have some qualms about Donald Trump’s sentencing schedule based entirely on how he is being treated by his subverted court. We have been told that the earliest, according to the court he bought, that they will make time to sentence him, would be Sept. 18. That is a week after one of the dates that he, the convicted felon, has agreed to participate in a debate. In the meantime, his court has managed to exempt the one citizen of the 330 million of us from obeying the law in matters of the utmost importance to the rest of the honest citizens who did not attempt to overthrow and ignore an election with loss of life and for which over 1,000 citizens have received their sentences.

Ridiculous!

The reason for his protection from prosecution is simple — his party is so corrupt that he knows he will be going to jail unless he can cover himself and his appointees and co-conspirators with new and innovative illegalities and to cover his future crimes with a thin veneer of “special” treatments.

I would suggest that Donald Trump’s sentence be announced a week before the next debate.
