Starting Monday, Washington State Department of Transportation crews will begin replacing several broken or cracked concrete panels of southbound Interstate 5 lanes between Ridgefield and the I-5/I-205 split just north of Salmon Creek.

The construction is expected to take place during the nighttime and will require single or double lane closures — speed limits will lower to 55 miles per hour in the work zone. The project is expected to be completed by October but may require additional delays due to inclement weather.

For more information on the $2 million project, visit the Department of Transportation’s website at wsdot.wa.gov/construction-planning/search-projects/i-5-i-205-sb-ridgefield-concrete-panel-replacement online.
