Letter: Ungodliness has increased

The Bible says in Psalm 33:12, “Blessed is the Nation whose God is the Lord.” It also says in Galatians 6:7, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatever a man sows, that will he also reap.” Ungodliness has increased in my lifetime.

When I was in high school, one of our lessons in our English class was to memorize the 121st Psalm, that begins with: “I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.” Now that would not be allowed in a government-controlled school. We have thrown God and the Bible out of our schools, and are more ungodly all the time.

It will make only a temporary difference which party gets control of our government in this year’s elections. With a $35 trillion national debt, that I believe God has allowed to happen to us because of our ungodliness, it is only a matter of time before our country and the whole world will be in not a recession, but a depression.
