Letter: Thanks to nonvoters

By Mike Burton, Vancouver

Sadly, I’m getting used to seeing low voter levels, such as the 40 percent for the August 2024 primary.

But how many voters realize this was a primary election and that Washington has an open system allowing the top two, regardless of party affiliation, to reach the general election in November? I guess I should thank the 60 percent who stayed home for allowing me to make decisions for them.
