Letter: Reject MAGA movement

By Jon Cole, Ridgefield
Published: August 13, 2024, 6:00am

On my way home today, I noticed the sign supporting Marie Gluesenkamp Perez wasn’t up anymore. Then I saw the remains of her sign lying below the Kent sign that more than likely is on the boards hers was on.

This situation is emblematic of what the MAGA movement stands for, and how it operates: Disregard for anyone not in the cult; appropriate other people’s work and call it your own; and destroy or tear down what you don’t like instead of following the democratic principal of compromise. It should be clear to anyone paying attention.

If you want to make progress building America and moving forward, the only choice is to vote the Democratic ticket until the MAGA movement is obliterated.
