CAMAS – The Camas Lions Club has wrapped up an impactful year marked by community engagement, global outreach and internal growth. The organization’s theme of “togetherness” proved to be a powerful force as members collectively made a difference in the lives of local residents and beyond.

Highlights included a prominent presence at the Fourth of July celebration and capturing first place at the 2023 Camas Days parade with their “There’s No Place Like Camas” float. Collaborative efforts with other service organizations, such as Kiwanis, Rotary, and fellow Lions Clubs, addressed pressing issues like food insecurity through initiatives like Celebrate Community. Additionally, the club supported member Nina Day’s iCARE project in Jamaica.

Local efforts included food drives, holiday cheer initiatives, educational support, tree planting and blanket drives.

At the year-end celebration, the club recognized the contributions of its members and leadership. Queen Lion Stephanie O’Dell was honored with a Queen Bee thank you gift, and other key leaders, including Vice President Neil Day, Treasurer Patty Wolf, Membership Chair Nancy Eubank, Marketing Chair Tim Eubank, Secretary Casey O’Dell, and Leadership Chair & LCIF Coordinator Dr. Brian Scott, were acknowledged for their outstanding service.
