Aerosmith has walked this way for the final time.
The band has decided to pull the plug on its “Peace Out” farewell tour. The decision comes after frontman Steven Tyler, 76, suffered vocal chord damage in September 2023, which had already caused the tour to be delayed.
“We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision — as a band of brothers — to retire from the touring stage,” the band said in a statement released Friday.
“(Tyler) has spent months tirelessly working on getting his voice to where it was before his injury. We’ve seen him struggling despite having the best medical team by his side. Sadly, it is clear, that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible.”
Tickets purchased online will be automatically refunded within 30 days, the statement said. Other tickets can be refunded at the point of purchase.
