DETROIT — Jack White’s new album is getting an official release.

“No Name,” the new solo album from the Detroit-bred rocker, will be released today at Third Man Records stores, with a streaming release following on Friday. The new album will also be available at select indie record stores beginning Friday, according to a post from White’s Instagram.

The new album was initially made available July 19, when it was given out for free to Third Man customers.

The album came in a white sleeve with the words “No Name” printed on the record label, and was unsuspectingly slipped into bags of customers who made any purchase in the store.

The record’s scarcity — it was only available for one day at Third Man’s stores in Detroit, Nash., Tennessee, and London — made it a must-have for collectors, and copies have sold for up to $1,000 on eBay.

The new album will now come packaged in a blue sleeve, and the 13 tracks have names: “Old Scratch Blues,” “Bless Yourself,” “That’s How I’m Feeling,” “It’s Rough on Rats (If You’re Asking)” and “Archbishop Harold Holmes,” among them.

The set was recorded in 2023 and 2024 at White’s Third Man Studios, according to a release.

“No Name” follows White’s solo sets “Fear of the Dawn” and “Entering Heaven Alive,” both of which were released in 2022.
