Letter: MAGA policy toward women

Just over two years ago, a majority of the Supreme Court justices, including three nominated by MAGA Republican Donald Trump, overturned the constitutionally guaranteed right to an abortion, holding that the issue should be resolved by the states. Not surprisingly, half of the states now prohibit or severely restrict a choice by a woman to terminate a pregnancy.

Now, the MAGA Republican nominee for vice president, JD Vance, is whining about the number of Democratic women who do not have biological children, mocking them as “childless cat ladies.”

At last we have learned the full scope of the MAGA Republican policy toward women: “Barefoot and pregnant.”
