Behrens Woods a forest oasis: two-acre east Vancouver wood chosen as a NatureSpaces pilot site

It’s a fact of urban life: If there’s a forest in the city, residents will use it both for relaxation and for transportation.

That’s why the city of Vancouver turned to local volunteers to bolster forest health and to establish a formal, accessible trail network in a natural area that may appear modest but is plenty important to the folks that live alongside it.
