Letter: Perez vote is disappointing

By Parkes Lauderbaugh, VANCOUVER

Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, D-Skamania, once again disappoints. Not only has she voted with Republicans on guns and the censorship of a fellow Democrat, but now she joins with hypocrite Michael Johnson to condemn Kamala Harris on the “failure to secure” the border.

Current border crossings are down to levels at the end of Trump’s presidency. Why the urgency to condemn a candidate put in the unprecedented position of running for president with only 100 days to win her case?

Perez is running against the “proud boy” election denialist — Joe Kent — so is she trying to outflank him on the right? How does her bizarre act of betrayal win suburban women?

Disrespecting fellow Democrats. What a disappointment.
