OLYMPIA — Four zebras — yes, the horse-like striped animal — got loose Sunday afternoon off eastbound Interstate 90, according to the Washington State Patrol.

About 2 p.m., the driver hauling the zebras stopped near Exit 32 and I-90, which is in the North Bend area, to secure his trailer when the four animals got loose, troopers say.

Trooper Rick Johnson said via social media that they had one zebra cornered, but three were still at large.

“The community has come together to help,” he said. “One cornered, 3 outstanding. Crazy!!”
