The Clark County Green Business Program will host a free educational event for businesses to learn about sustainable food practices.

The Morning Blend will be 8:30-10 a.m. May 1 at Fourth Plain Community Commons, 3101 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Suite 101, Vancouver.

Morning Blend is a monthly event hosted by Clark County Green Business to encourage businesses to network, discuss green business efforts and learn about solutions for reducing impact on the environment.

The May event will feature presentations by Bold Reuse and Okapi Reusables, two companies working with local businesses to reduce the amount of single-use products that end up in landfills. A member of Clark County Public Health’s Food Safety program will also discuss how businesses can create a plan for refilling consumer-owned food and beverage containers that meets regulatory standards and safety guidelines.
