Union’s bats caught fire in an 11-run sixth inning as the Titans beat Camas 13-3 in a 4A Greater St. Helens League baseball game Tuesday.
Trailing 3-2, Union collected 10 hits in the sixth inning with the first five hitters reaching base.
Topher Anderson kick-started the rally with an RBI double to tie the game 3-3. It was part of a big day for the catcher, who went 2 for 2 and also tripled.
Ty Sutton, Blake Sutton and Drew Hertenstein each had two hits as Union tallied 15 hits in its highest-scoring output of the season.
Jacob Chandler and Zaydon Marguth combined to hold the Papermakers to five hits. Chandler had six strikeouts over four innings.
Union (4-7, 2-3) turned the tables one day after Camas (9-6, 2-3) beat the Titans 12-1.
The 4A GSHL season has been unpredictable as all four teams have at least two losses. Battle Ground and Skyview are in first at 3-2 with four league games remaining.

- Jayden Sivits, Battle Ground baseball, went 2 for 3, including a two-out, two-run double in the third inning of a 2-0 win over Skyview.
- Nate Merritt, Prairie baseball, allowed three hits over six innings and also doubled in a 2-1 loss to Kelso, which remained unbeaten this season.
- Zach Ziebell, Columbia River baseball, struck out 11 batters in 6 1/3 innings with just one walk to get the victory in a 4-3 game against Hockinson.
- Joey Marin, Evergreen baseball, provided an insurance run with an RBI single in the seventh inning as the Plainsmen held off Mountain View 4-2.
- Kolten Gesser, Seton Catholic baseball, pitched a three-hit complete-game shutout with nine strikeouts in the Panthers 8-0 win over King’s Way Christian in the first game of a Trico League doubleheader.
- Brady Hamer, Castle Rock baseball, was 3 for 3 with a double and two RBI in the Rockets’ 10-0 win over Columbia of White Salmon in the first game of a Trico League doubleheader.
- Kai Brasuell, Columbia-White Salmon baseball, went 2 for 4 with a double, triple and three RBI as the Bruins outlasted Castle Rock 15-14 the second game of the doubleheader.
- Emily Hull, Columbia River softball, went 3 for 4 with a grand slam in a 12-1 win over Hudson’s Bay. The sophomore third baseman has homered in four of River’s last five games.
- Lauren Baker, La Center softball, homered twice in the second game as the Wildcats swept Stevenson 15-4 and 15-5. She went 3 for 5 with nine runs scored over two games.
- Ellie Forster, Seton Catholic softball, went 4 for 5 with three doubles, a triple and five RBI over two games as the Cougars swept King’s Way Christian in a doubleheader.
- Harli Witham, R.A. Long girls golf, shot a 46 at Tri-Mountain for medalist honors in a match against Ridgefield.
