LONGVIEW — The Lewis and Clark Bridge will be closed from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Sunday for the Rainier, Ore., to Longview 10K Bridge Run.
The city expects heavy traffic in the morning hours leading up to the closure and once the bridge reopens, as participants are shuttled to and from the area, according to a Longview Public Works press release.
Public works encourages local commuters to plan an alternate route that day, though emergency vehicles are still allowed to access the bridge during the closure.
The run starts at Rainier City Park, heads over the Lewis & Clark Bridge and winds through residential streets of Longview to end in Lake Sacajawea.
